Surprise Birthday Party!

Saturday was my birthday and my wonderful friend Stacey had a surprise party for me with the help of Eric. It was so much fun! I have never had a surprise party before and I felt so special!
We had a nice BBQ at the park and got to enjoy the sun some before the rain came. Thankfully Stacey lives right across the street from the park so we were able to run over there with everything and continue our party there. Uncle Zak was a stud and continued to BBQ in the downpour until everything was done.
We had wonderful food, drinks, and cake! The kids all ran around and had a lot of fun playing and eating together. It was one of the best birthday's I've ever had.

1 Month!

We can hardly believe Owen is already a month old! It all goes by so fast. Avery will be turning 4 this summer! How did that happen?

Owen and Avery are amazing. Avery is the best big sister. She is so sweet and kind. She is constantly reading Owen stories, giving him hugs and kisses, and providing him with endless entertainment.

Owen has a very sweet demeanor. He is pretty mellow and very cuddly. He sleeps as well as you could hope a four week old to. He does not get upset too often and when he does he is easily settled. Eric calls him Owen buddy a lot and I call him little Mr. We'll see what sticks? Avery is still Catfish to her papa :)

3 Weeks, 3 days Old

All bundled up and protected from the rain.

Owen makes the sweetest, most adorable noises
when he sleeps. In this video he is making one of
his many noises. Though this noise is a bit unusual for him.
He usually has a very soft sweet coo. So cute.

Last weekend we took the double stroller out for the first time. Well, first time with TWO kids riding in it. We took Avery out in it before Owen was born. Anyway, it was so nice to be able to push them both! Thanks Aunt Karen for the wonderful stroller! We love it and will get so much use out of it!

Owen has grown so much! It is truly amazing how fast they change. We took him to the doctor on Tuesday and he was 9 lbs 4oz and 21.5 inches long. He feels so much bigger than Avery ever did! Although he was four weeks older than she when he was born so that makes a huge difference!
