Missing Our Camera

Since our camera broke a few weeks ago, I have missed some great photo ops of sweet little Avery. I think we may have to find a way to get a camera sooner than this summer. I can't imagine missing any more weeks, days for that matter, of no pictures! Avery is too precious and beautiful and adorable to not capture every darling moment on camera. Hopefully we can find a great deal on a nice camera so we can start taking pictures of Avery again. We want to record every beautiful moment of her life!
Since we don't have any new pictures to share with you, I thought I would create a small album of Avery up to her fist birthday. Hope you enjoy the look back at her first year. We can't believe she will be 19 months next week! It really goes by so fast.

The Dog, the Cat, and the Rat

I received this video via email and thought it was amazing! This was the description of the video attached to the email:
"This is a video of a homeless man's pets in Santa Barbara. They work State Street every week for donations. The animals are pretty well fed and are mellow. They are a family. The man who owns them rigged a harness up for his cat so she wouldn't have to walk so much (like the dog and himself). At some juncture the rat came along, and as no one wanted to eat anyone else, the rat started riding with the cat and, often, on the cat! The dog, will stand all day and let you talk to him and admire him for a few chin scratches."

Broken Camera

Unfortunately, our old and ducked taped together camera finally gave out and died this past week. It is sad news for us because we will not be able to afford a new camera until this summer. We want to be able to take pictures of sweet little Avery to share with you, but we will have to wait a few months. We are sad because we want to capture every moment of Avery's growth and development. We hate to miss any photo opportunities! We will just have to barrow my brother's camera and use our video camera. If we are able to take some pictures we will definitely share them with you, but this blog may seem a little bare for awhile.

River Trip '07

While organizing some photos on our computer, I found this picture of Avery after our river trip last summer on the Lower Salmon. It made me laugh and I thought I would share...
